“I hated every minute of training, but I said to myself don’t quit, suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion”                  (Muhammed Ali)

ABOUT CHARLOTTE:

From a young age I always wanted a future in sport. More specifically in swimming and my heart was set on becoming a champion. At age 7, although this seems young, I knew along with my coaches that I had what was needed to become a champion.

“A champion needs a motivation above and beyond winning” (Pat Riley)

At 15 years old I was ranked 3rd in the country for 800m freestyle and was dreaming of an Olympics, but when I reached 16 I could no longer cope with the quantity of training (24 hours per week) on top of my school studies and the prospect of collage coming. So I decided to pull away from swimming and think about an alternative future.

Now 20 years old, I have a new goal, I am currently studying to become a personal trainer and will be hoping to open my very own personal training facility by 2015. My research shows me that diet is critical in helping an individual achieve their goals, knowledge I didn’t have when I was 16 which made an Olympic dream hard to reach.

My diet makes up the majority of my training plan, but a lot of the time is spent pushing my body to the limit, mostly in the gym. However, with such drive, I have always needed something competitive in my life so I decided to take up cheerleading, including stunt group, pom dance and senior group cheer. All of which are national competitions.

A typical training week for me looks as follows:Screen shot 2013-04-22 at 08.46.05

Monday: Morning beach run (Cardio)

Tuesday: Power lifting

Wednesday: Cardio am, Cheerleading and stunt pm

Thursday: Gym (weights) am, Stunt group pm

Friday: Weights and Cardio

Saturday: Sprints over track

Sunday: Pom Dance and Stunt group Screen shot 2013-04-22 at 08.46.38

My fitness regimes change depending on what current goals I have, in 2012 I completed the Silverstone half marathon and in 2014 I will race on the London Marathon.

NAME: NATASHA ARGENT

AGE: 23

FROM: WOODFORD, ESSEX

DOB: 15TH SEPTEMBER

STARSIGN: VIRGO

INSPIRATIONAL QUOTE: “Love is nothing in tennis, but in life it’s everything”

My grandad used to always say “Cherish this moment as you’ll never see this night again”.

Natasha has played tennis since she was 4 years old. She played with her Dad and brother and thinks she improved quickly trying to return the hard hitting balls the boys hit at her.

Natasha was requested to play tennis for Essex and went on to play around the UK and abroad.

Natasha’s coaching career begun when she was asked to assist a local coach. She is now fully qualified, teaches all ages and abilities (from beginner to advance). Is a resident coach at WWTC, and coaches at two local schools. She is also a qualified Referee/Umpire.

Natasha has coached in Turkey, Greece, Tunisia and Spain, while this August, Natasha will be assisting Pat Cash, at the Forte Village Academy in Sardinia (while flying the 30:Fifteen flag).

Future Goals:

Next year she wants to cycle from London to Paris, then recover by watching the French Open.

Her long term goal would be to open and run her own Tennis Centre/Academy.
